    Q. Speaker’s Bio / Tell us a bit about yourself? – City, family, hobbies, job title
    A. Prior to joining Microsoft, Jimmy was with Crestron Electronics for nearly 20 years where his efforts exemplified the tradition of quality that Crestron has been known for since its founding. He along with Joe Sarrasin invented and led the development effort behind many of Crestron’s most popular products including Crestron Mercury, Air-Media presentation systems and Crestron Flex (a family of Microsoft Team Room systems and Teams Voice products).
Jimmy’s qualifications have been well recognized in both the Information Technology and Audio-Visual Integration fields. Jimmy maintains both Microsoft MVP and Crestron Master programmer status; two highly recognized and complimentary accomplishments. As a result, Jimmy has developed and led technical instruction at such events as Crestron Masters and Microsoft Ignite, focusing on collaboration and IoT technologies.

Prior to working for Crestron, Jimmy was an award-winning television and web producer for a variety of notable organizations including: the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), MTV, Geraldo and Inside Edition.

In his free time, Jimmy has pursued an extensive history of travel which was inspired by his attending Semester at Sea (F93) where he sailed the circumference of the earth while visiting over 27 countries. He is also an avid drone pilot and gives time to help many animal rescue non-profits.

    Q. Tell us something about yourself that not many people know about you?
    A.
I worked for the World Wrestling Federation and travelled with them for almost 6 years.

    Q. What does a typical workday look like for you?
    A.
It vary’s, but technically enabling Microsoft partners on the benefits of Microsoft Teams Rooms is my primary focus. That can be through social media, presentations or even just email and Teams chats.

    Q. 1st job out of college?
    A.
Working for Geraldo on the Geraldo show.

    Q. What is the biggest mistake that your feel holds back your clients from the results they want (this should relate to your demo)

    A.
Companion mode on Microsoft Teams! Coming from a control solution background, having devices know and understand each other is something that is challenging!

    A
. Best advice – keep it simple. Worst advice – “We need to solve for the What if’s”

    Q. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
    A.
    Right here at Microsoft

    Q. What’s your blind spot in your Microsoft knowledge? Pitfalls
    A.
Intune and End point management are not fully where I would like my skillset to be.
