New generation is entering the work market with new methods and mentality. They will become soon the majority of our task force. How we can provide tools to improve their efficiency?
Microsoft Mesh is generally available since early 2024. This new product will allow you to improve your collaboration through a full 3D digital workspace.
What is the Immersive Experience in teams, and how it can improve your collaboration through innovative icebreakers. Mesh is a solution evolving from a pro-code to a low/no-code solution. From developers to product owners, we will see how you can use this product.

Below are the questions and answers from the August 2024 Meetup Session.

Q. Tell us a bit about yourself? – City, family, hobbies, job title
A.  I'm Clément from Paris, I coming from Bordeaux in the southwest of france etc...

Q. Tell us something about yourself that not many people know about you?
A.  I have a tatoo which making all my back.

Q. What does a typical workday look like for you?
A.  I design projects to implement on 365, Entra etc. I tacle vulnerabilities et reinforce the tenant of my customer. I advise them to deploy new features like copilot .

Q. 1st job out of college
A.  I went to Avanade which was proposing me to move to the capital. I always like Microsoft technologies so a Microsoft consulting companies was a good start.

Q. Your 1st version of SharePoint that you experienced and what year
A.  SharePoint Online. I'm on 31, entering the market in 2017 there wasn't a lot of SharePoint on prem remaining to migrate.

Q. What is the biggest mistake that your feel holds back your clients from the results they want (this should relate to your demo)
A. They don't evolve with the new generations coming into the markets. They are growing with tech and video games. They are multitask and we are asking them to stay focused in a basic meeting.

Q. Describe a SharePoint train wreck project, and what did you learn?
A. I didn't had so much SharePoint train wreck project on my backlog. One of worst project I had was a take over a consulting mission of an architect which did 0 documentation for 2 years.  

Q. Your favorite M365 feature/tool and why
A. Teams. I think it's all in one. You can have all your apps, intranet site, everything needed to collaborate embedded in one place.

Q. Where do you think Microsoft is going with M365.. Be totally honest
A.  I think outlook will disappear one day or will be totally integrated in teams. Mail system is coming to an end with massive infobesity and people start to ignore their mailbox.
Content generation is continuing to grow with copilot. One day we will less write and just move to voice supports.

I have 6 slides talking about how collaboration is evolving and how new generation are more connected to digital.
It intends to prove that we must make evolve our way to think of the work and to start progress on hybrid collaboration.

A.  I can reproduce cities.

Q. What’s the best and worst tech advice you’ve been given
A.  During my years at school and during my internship's peoples advised me to stay curious. My teachers weren't trying to teach me IT, they literally learn me to learn, to search, to be curious and find myself my answers.
If you are person waiting the knowledge in a spoon, when you start to work you reach your limits really fast in ITs

Q. What are you working on to become a developer/consultant / CTO
A.  I would like to step back from implementing solutions. Advice more customers on their roadmap with Microsoft.

Q. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
A.  I would like to discover a new country and become a Technology strategist, Technology evangelist, customer advocacy. Having the possibility to make more conferences with financial supports.

Q. What's your blind spot in your Microsoft knowledge? Pitfalls
A.  Dynamics, the power platform and pro development.

A.  A lot of Microsoft learn. I read every book of news : https://news.microsoft.com/build-2024-book-of-news/. Colleagues from the aMP community or identity days.

Q. In your mind, if there was 1 song that could describe SharePoint, what would it be? - David Bowie - Heroes
A. Wrecking ball - Miley Cyrus. I think SharePoint is dying with the progress of teams.
